@JacobsBen: “I think, in terms of Arsenal’s midfield, a lot of targets that they’ll consider are long standing. Particularly Martin Zubimendi, who, again, if they define Rice in a way that complements the signing of Zubimendi, that could be one that they try again for. We’ll wait & see on the Arsenal front what they decide to do, but there’s nothing advanced there at this point.” [@GiveMeSport] #afc
Arsenal are open to offers for Reiss Nelson as they look to generate funds for potential new signings this summer, sources have told Football Insider. Any ‘big’ offers will be considered & they could accept £25m for the player. [@SportsPeteO] #afc
Sagna: "I love Zinchenko. I love the way he plays. I love this technique. I’m trying to understand why people say he didn't have a great season. It is because he made one mistake against Liverpool where he was caught out of possession and Arsenal were punished?
"Zinchenko is a wonderful player. Arteta puts so many demands on him as a footballer; he performs several roles in the team from his left back position.
"When Arsenal lose the ball and he moves into the midfield, he can find himself out of his position, but this is a product of the bravery Arteta demands from his players and the football he wants to play."
Bacary Sagna on Mikel Arteta: "I don't see Mikel managing another team. I don't see him leaving his home.
"He was there as a player & he is now the manager. Arsenal is Mikel’s club. He loves Arsenal & he loves his players.
"I think he'll stay at Arsenal for many more years."
@FabrizioRomano on Sesko: “The first step has to be to inform Leipzig of his decision. He has to decide whether he wants to be the superstar of Leipzig for one more season or to leave immediately.”
“He has three proposals from the Premier League - Chelsea, Manchester United & Arsenal - these three clubs have already approached Sesko & presented their project. Now it’s on the player.” [@podcastherewego] #afc
@FabrizioRomano: “In the next days, the situation of Benjamin Sesko will become CLEAR. The player will make a decision on his future. As of today, I can guarantee 100 per cent that not even Sesko himself knows where he will play next season.” [@podcastherewego] #afc
@Teamnewsandtix on Arsenal’s interest in Onana: “His agent, who is his sister, has been contacting clubs, Arsenal included, to try to engineer a move for him. We haven’t contacted Everton as of yet - that’s NOT to say we’re not interested - we are interested.” [Patreon] #afc
@FabrizioRomano on Arsenal’s interest in Onana: “[It is] not something really concrete at this point. They had some contact, yes, in terms of being informed on the player’s situation, but it’s not the proper negotiation to the club yet.”
“I think Arsenal has several names in that list for the midfield. Onana is appreciated by many, many clubs in England.” [@GiveMeSport] #afc
Benjamin Sesko is highly admired at Arsenal & TEAMtalk understands an offer is ON THE TABLE, which the club believe will convince the player to pick them. Sources say Sesko is ‘impressed’ by the project at Arsenal, but is taking time to consider all the offers. [@Francuskich]
TEAMtalk can confirm Fulham have placed Eddie Nketiah high on their list of summer targets. Conversations are ‘ongoing’ over a deal, with an official offer being ‘prepared’. Nketiah has a lot of interest from within the Premier League, with Wolves & Crystal Palace huge fans of his. [@FrazFletcher] #afc
@FabrizioRomano: “We keep hearing a lot of stories about Martin Zubimendi. Some outlets are now stating that he is unlikely to leave Real Sociedad as he is happy & not looking to leave the Basque region.”
“However, my understanding remains that this is not decided yet. Zubimendi’s future, his decision, is still not clear yet - it remains an open situation & he has a €60m release clause.” [@caughtoffside] #afc
@FabrizioRomano: “Joao Neves has been mentioned as a possible alternative for Arsenal in midfield. My information there remains that Neves has been scouted by Arsenal, Man United & Man City - all clubs interested but nothing is advanced at this stage. It’s also important to remember that Neves’ price tag is double compared to Zubimendi, as his release clause is €120m.” [@caughtoffside] #afc
Benjamin Šeško, taking some more days to decide his future.
There's still new contract proposal from RB Leipzig on the table. Meanwhile, Šeško said no to €30m net salary from Saudi.
Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea have all approached Šeško since March/April.
@David_Ornstein on Sesko: “I’ve spoken before about how highly Arsenal think of him. He’s pretty much top, or very prominent on their list of candidates. Things aren’t actually happening with him just yet, there are lots of conversations.” [@TheAthleticFC Podcast] #afc
Martin Zubimendi's future has NOT been decided yet despite Arsenal also scouting Joao Neves, who'd cost twice as much...
@ozzy95 napisał: "dobrze, że Sagna nie pracuje w strukturach klubu i nie jest osobą decyzyjną, bo chyba zrobił by tu nam elitarny klub kokosa."
To samo pomyślałem;)
Chelsea and Arsenal to battle for RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko
Ah te smerfy, żeby nie mieć swojego planu xD
Bacary Sagna: “I would love to see Marcus Rashford at Arsenal. I think if you added Rashford to Arsenal’s attack, with the pace that he has, Arsenal would destroy the opposition. Adding Rashford to an extremely talented squad would be a frightening prospect for Arsenal’s rivals.” [CoinPoker] #afc
Bacary Sagna: “I actually think Raphaël Varane would be a brilliant signing for Arsenal. He would be perfect cover for either Saliba or Gabriel & could step into the team when either of those players needed a rest or if they were to get injured.”
“Varane would be a perfect fit for the vibe of the club because of his winning mentality & personality. I saw him a couple of days ago at the Champions League final, he still has that desire & competitiveness to play at the top level for a few more seasons. As an addition to the squad, I think he would be perfect.”

The 2023-24 season was another lucrative one for Arsenal. They received more than €90m in revenue from the Champions League alone. The owners are expected to make SIGNIFICANT funds available to strengthen the squad this summer. [@TheAthleticFC] #afc
Left-back is another area of focus for Arsenal — none of the existing options convinced Mikel Arteta. The return to fitness of Jurrien Timber provides another alternative, but the club are continuing to monitor the market for a specialist. [@TheAthleticFC] #afc
Arsenal & AC Milan have approached & probed the environment of Girona winger Viktor Tsygankov (26), who has a €30m release clause. Mikel Arteta is ‘captivated’ by the player & believes that he could fit perfectly into his team. [@diarioas] #afc
@FabrizioRomano: “Benjamin Sesko is still taking his time to decide [his future]. He has a new contract proposal from Leipzig, a really important salary, to be the star of the team next season, to change the release clause in his contract.”
“Manchester United, Chelsea & Arsenal - these three clubs are in the race. He has all the projects in front of him, but the first step has to be with Leipzig. He already said no to two crazy proposals from Saudi, one club was offering up to €30m net per season - he said no.” [YouTube] #afc
@charles_watts: “There are a few players at Arsenal right now who, while the club do not actively want to sell, they would consider offers for, should good ones arrive this summer & I would include Oleksandr Zinchenko & Jakub Kiwior on that list.”
“I can’t see both being allowed to go in the same window, but I wouldn’t be shocked if one was to leave. If I had to choose between one to go, I would probably go with Zinchenko.”
“I think some of the criticism that came his way last season was harsh, but there’s no doubt that Arsenal have moved on from him a bit in the last 12 months. Arsenal have shifted things a bit tactically, which has seen his importance on the team diminish.”
[@caughtoffside] #afc
The current focus in the forward line is RB Leipzig’s 21-year-old Benjamin Sesko. The Slovenia international has a release clause in his contract, believed to be for a fee in the region of €65m (£55.3m, $70.4m). Sesko has attracted significant interest from elsewhere in the Premier League and Europe, but the feeling among other clubs is that if Sesko is to move then Arsenal are in pole position. [@gunnerblog, @TheAthleticFC]
As with Isak, admiration for Bruno Guimaraes is not expected to go further. The Brazilian has a £100m release clause that is active until the end of June, and Newcastle are likely to demand a sum in that region even after that point.
Zubimendi and Neves are seen primarily as holding midfielders. A new No 8 remains on Arsenal’s radar, but the club feel there are relatively few suitable options on the market. Players like Frenkie de Jong and Lucas Paqueta are unlikely to be on the move this summer, albeit for very different reasons. The acquisition of a No 9 could allow Havertz to play more games in midfield, while 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri is also expected to feature more often next season. [@gunnerblog, @TheAthleticFC]
Although Arsenal have been linked with Alexander Isak, and have a long-standing interest in the player, no developments are expected. Newcastle United’s position is the player is not for sale, and it would take a huge sum of money for that commitment to waver. [@gunnerblog, @TheAthleticFC]
After Arsenal’s elimination against Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals, the feeling among the hierarchy was that the team lacked a certain X-factor in attack — something special to unlock defences on the biggest occasions. [@gunnerblog, @TheAthleticFC]
Arsenal's main objective this summer is to add layers to their squad. Last season, they were able to rely on a relatively small pool of players, with a group of 14 sharing the majority of minutes. Arsenal would like to expand that group, affording manager Mikel Arteta the opportunity to rotate and thus better sustain competing across multiple fronts. [@gunnerblog, @TheAthleticFC]
Kai Havertz: "The change from Chelsea to Arsenal was worth it".
"Chelsea fans were angry that I left, the Arsenal fans weren’t so enthusiastic either, because it didn’t go so well at start...".
"Then there is strength when the coach, teammates and the people in your close environment stand by you and support you", told Welt am Sonntag.
@DiMarzio: “Osimhen, we assume he’s going to leave [Napoli]. At the moment, there is only Arsenal [showing interest], who are still far away from his release clause.” [@napolista] #afc
Ibrahima Konate & Dayot Upamecano will be preferred over William Saliba in defence by France manager Didier Deschamps at Euro 2024. [@lequipe] #afc
Mikayil Faye ‘has in his mind’ to leave Barcelona this summer. Liverpool, Manchester United, Inter Milan & Bayern Munich are all showing a lot of interest in the player, however, Arsenal have ‘burst strongly’ onto the case in recent hours. [@mundodeportivo] #afc

Sporting CP are willing to sell Ousmane Diomande for something between €50m-€60m, despite the player having an €80m release clause. [@abolapt via @Sport_Witness] #afc
Arsenal are reluctantly set to let Eddie Nketiah LEAVE the club this summer. SunSport can reveal that Fulham are in pole position & would be willing to pay up to £30m, but are likely to see competition from Crystal Palace & Wolves. [@kealanhughes] #afc
Everton are also interested in a potential year long loan - an option which could appeal to Arsenal, but there are hopes that, if any clubs want Nketiah, they can start a bidding war that can drive the final price for him to decent levels. [@kealanhughes, Sun] #afc
Arsenal will listen to offers for Emile Smith Rowe this summer after falling out of favour under Mikel Arteta. Arsenal will also consider offers for other fringe players like Eddie Nketiah, Aaron Ramsdale & Kieran Tierney. [@MrDomSmith, Standard] #afc

EXCL: Premier League fails in bid to close loophole letting clubs use profits from sale of hotels, training grounds, other tangible assets in FFP submissions. Proposal at AGM fell short of 2/3 majority needed (votes 11/20). W/ @mjshrimper @TheAthleticFC
