Arsenal may be financially well-off, but the idea that they've matched the spending of Manchester City and Liverpool is off base.

Liverpool outspends Arsenal by £134 million annually on salaries, while Manchester City surpasses them with a £188 million difference. Over a decade, Liverpool and Manchester City together invest circa £1.3 billion to £1.8 billion more into their teams compared to Arsenal, a substantial margin.

While transfer expenditure may seem similar between Liverpool and Arsenal, this metric alone doesn't capture the full extent of investment. Liverpool's wage bill, as previously mentioned, and the amounts allocated to agents far exceed those of Arsenal.

Jurrien Timber hopes to play a role for Arsenal during the run-in after returning to first-team training.

The defender has been out since August after injuring his knee on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.
