Mikel Merino was not spotted with the Arsenal squad pre-Crystal Palace today. Likely a rest for him ahead of PSG.

Mikel Arteta has been so impressed with Mikel Merino's recent improvement:

“It's giving him a different perspective about the position and how we link the attacking midfielder's role with our 9s. He has been spending much more time in the last few weeks in training around the box, so that's going to give him another taste, another smell and a really good sense of timing of how he can hurt the opposition. That's something very, very positive. He played a really good game in midfielder at the weekend and now he feels really comfortable in both of them [positions], which is good and I think he can play on the right as well.”

To chyba lepiej żeby tak przygotował;) zaczynają się te gierki psychologiczne, mam nadzieję że nasi będą ponownie na nie odporni i to boisko przemówi, łatwo nie będzie, ale nie jesteśmy bez szans, i chyba jednak bardziej doświadczeni i dojrzali niż obecne PSG.

Zubimendi to jedno, ale w całym Twoim planie, zapomniałeś o nowej 9 ;) być może nowym LS , bo te wybory aktualne na pozycji nr 9 szczególnie,to z przymusu, a nie długofalowego planu Artety;)

Coś koło 30 spotkań i tak zagrał tak sprawdzając na szybko, wiadomo różne ilości minut, więc może coś z niego będzie. Fajnie jakby był scenariusz że się ogarnie i odbuduje i będzie tym ( na przyszły sezon) backupem dla Ode,a w następnych okienkach będzie się szukało ewentualnie kogoś innego.

No ja bym się kłócił, że on miał być backupem ;) pech jedynie że wyleciał z taką kontuzją, i że ogólnie sytuacja kadrowa też wiele razy zmuszała do wystawienia go na LO. Timber to był od początku transfer do podstawy, który miał być taką opcją jak Zina na LO i w zależności od rywala albo on, albo lewy obrońca mieli robić przewagę w środku Pola, tyle że w tym sezonie to nie bardzo kiedy była możliwość zagrać tym jednym składem dłuższy czas, żeby te automatyzmy wypracować. @KapitanJack10 napisał: "Dlatego na pozycji Gabriela, MLS, Partey'a czy Gabiego nie powinniśmy zakładać, że są nie do zmiany, tylko szukać nadarzających się okazji na rynku i liczyć, na to, że nowe nabytki wejdą do drużyny z buta, nawet jeśli na pierwszy rzut oka nie mają na to szans."
Dokładnie, na każdą pozycję trzeba szukać upgrade, jeśli nie od razu do 1 składu, to kogoś kto będzie o ten skład walczył regularnie i wywierał presję, bo wtedy każdy zawodnik się rozwijać powinien, a jeśli nie, to po prostu kwestia czasu jak zostanie wymieniony:)

Trzebaby jednak wziąć jeszcze pod uwagę kontuzje np Saki, który mógł luźno zrobić 2 cyfrówkę. 9 oczywiście potrzebna, ale jak najbardziej dobrze jeśli gole rozkładają się na wielu zawodników, jak choćby sezon wcześniej.
