@SportsPeteO: “Talks are advancing between Arsenal & Viktor Gyökeres’ representatives. He is emerging as the number one choice & it seems there’s a willingness from all parties to get the deal done. The player is happy to come & Sporting are happy to sell for just over £60m.”
Arsenal are genuine contenders to sign Real Madrid forward Rodrygo this summer, talkSPORT understands. @alex_crook 'I got a message earlier this week saying keep an eye on Arsenal and Rodrygo'. [@talkSPORT]
SunSport understands that the speed at which Arsenal have been lining up & progressing with targets - talking to key figures in player camps - has taken other clubs aback, who are now being forced to recalibrate & rethink their own transfer window strategy.
Barcelona are among several teams who have felt Arsenal’s aggression & presence in the majority of their preparations, with sources close to those clubs telling SunSport that they expect to be blown out of the water in comparison. [@jordandaviesj]
@FabrizioRomano: “My information is that Real Madrid understood at the beginning of May that [signing] William Saliba this summer was IMPOSSIBLE. For Arsenal, he is a crucial player & they are discussing a new contract.”
“Arsenal will have the ball in their court to close the agreement, keep Saliba at the club & extend his contract. Real Madrid’s position is clear — they will sign Dean Huijsen now, but Saliba remains a dream target for them.” [YouTube]
Arsenal’s search for a striker is centring on a discussion between Benjamin Sesko & Viktor Gyökeres. Most of the work so far has been done on Sesko, but the arrival of Andrea Berta as sporting director has brought more talks on Gyökeres.
Arsenal similarly retain interest in both Hugo Ekitike & Ollie Watkins, but neither have yet got to the stage that Sesko or Gyökeres have in terms of preparation for a summer deal. [@MiguelDelaney]
The clauses in Benjamin Sesko’s contract at Leipzig has seen his price go up way past an initial £58m, potentially to a straight £75m, however, he meets Arsenal’s profile in terms of physicality & link-up play, but is NOT seen as the finished product just yet. [@MiguelDelaney]
Bukayo Saka is set to become Arsenal’s highest earner, with insiders suggesting he will smash clear of the £300k-a-week barrier when he signs his contract extension. William Saliba will also head towards the £300k-a-week mark, sources have indicated to GMS. [@DeanJonesSoccer]
Arsenal’s priorities in the transfer market will be to sign off the deal for Martin Zubimendi to join & then sign a left-sided attacker & centre forward.
There is potential for another central midfielder to come in, as well as a central defender or left-back, depending on how the market opens up in June & July. [@DeanJonesSoccer]
Arsenal are making back-up plans for midfield incase they fail to reach an agreement with Thomas Partey. There is optimism that a new agreement can be reached, but due to a desire to be prepared for every eventuality, the club are making sure they have an awareness of potential deals that can be struck.
Ideally, they would look to someone already within the Premier League, given Martin Zubimendi is going to join from abroad & they do not want to have too many players who are not completely settled in the country by the start of the season. [@DeanJonesSoccer]
Ethan Nwaneri will wear #22 at Arsenal next season, while Myles Lewis-Skelly will keep #49. ✅ [@charles_watts]
EXCL: Real Madrid have sent formal contract proposal to Dean Huijsen and his camp today, talks ongoing to sign Spanish CB.
Negotiations continue while Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool remain ready to enter the race in case of complications.
Real remain player’s priority.
@Furgunn: i jeszcze teraz Ornstein inna wersja niż Sky ;)
Liverpool make contact with Florian Wirtz camp to express interest in signing playmaker if he leaves Bayer Leverkusen & is keen on moving to England. #LFC admiration long-standing but unclear whether 22yo plans to exit #Bayer04 or Germany @TheAthleticFC
Zbliża się okienko wielkimi krokami;)
@Furgunn napisał: "LIVERPOOL DOŁĄCZA DO WYŚCIGU PO FLORIANA WIRTZA – LIVERPOOL, CITY I BAYERN W GRZE!
Arne Slot osobiście zabiega o transfer 22-latka.
Widzi w 22-latku idealnego następcę Kevina De Bruyne i przedstawił mu swoją wizję roli w zespole. Jamesa McAtee.
Bayern Monachium również pozostaje w grze. Prowadzi rozmowy z otoczeniem zawodnika i Leverkusen.
Christian Falk [BILD] – Florian Plettenberg [Sky Sports] – Kicker"
Liverpool are not working on a deal to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen at the moment. They did not meet the player in England yesterday. He is a player they have been aware of for some time and in the event of there being any prospect of him wanting to move to England they would be interested. As things stand the indications appear to be that he wants to remain in Germany – whether by staying at Bayer Leverkusen or moving to Bayern Munich. Liverpool will continue to monitor the situation.
Liverpool, Arsenal & Chelsea are all showing interest in Joao Pedro ahead of a possible summer transfer. Arsenal are understood to be long-term admirers & Telegraph Sport understands they have explored the possibility of signing him in previous seasons. [@SamJDean]
Tyle to my za samą LM dostaniemy."
To musisz przeczytać że zrozumieniem;)
Arsenal view Rodrygo as a potential market opportunity & are in ongoing discussions regarding the possibility of signing him this summer. [@SamC_reports]
Mikel Arteta will have at least £100m to spend on transfers this summer plus any funds raised from player sales
Arsenal are in a very healthy position with regards to the Premier League’s Profit & Sustainability Rules, and are set to pay Martin Zubimendi's €60m release clause as soon as the season ends ✅
The Gunners will also sign a striker this summer but they have not yet narrowed down their options to one name - new sporting director Andrea Berta has been very impressed with Sporting Lisbon’s Victor Gyokeres but RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko also remains a target
Arsenal are working to try to sign Andrey Santos, with PSG also waiting ‘behind the scenes’. It is unknown whether Chelsea would be willing to sell the player. [@AlexisBernard10]
Arsenal & Liverpool are currently the frontrunners to sign Dean Huijsen, while Real Madrid also remain keen. A decision on the player’s future is expected soon.
Huijsen’s £50m release clause can be paid in three instalments. [@Plettigoal]
Arsenal will launch their home shirt for the 2025/26 season later this week & are expected to wear it for the final home game of the season against Newcastle on Sunday, Football London understands. ✅ [@TomCantonMedia]
Arsenal have made Viktor Gyökeres their top striker target for the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider. [@SportsPeteO]
Arsenal have not given up on persuading Jakub Kiwior to stay & have indicated to the player’s camp that they are willing to offer him a new contract on improved terms, TBR Football can reveal.
Kiwior has wanted to leave Arsenal for some time now — he appreciates the progress he’s made at the club, but he also recognises that Gabriel Magalhães is first choice.
It’s understood that Kiwior’s run in the first-team has only heightened his determination to seek regular football elsewhere next season. [@GraemeBailey]
Martin Zubimendi wants to give his best to Real Sociedad until the end of the season, 100% focused on the team as top professional as always.
Arsenal will complete formal steps of the deal in the next weeks as Zubimendi will be the first signing for 2025/26. ✅
Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen is a shock target for Real Madrid, as they look for a long-term successor to Thibaut Courtois. Real Madrid have also considered David Raya, but that deal would be even harder to pull off than Verbruggen. [@reluctantnicko, The Sun]
Real Madrid checked with Martin Zubimendi’s agency on THREE separate occasions regarding his availability, however, they were told he had given his word to Mikel Arteta & Arsenal. [@HandofArsenal]
@Teamnewsandtix: “Looking at Joan Garcia, it’s a bit of a difference at the club. Arteta loves him, however, Berta doesn’t believe it’s a good use of funds if they have to manage spending. It’s NOT that Berta doesn’t rate him, he just wants to allocate those funds elsewhere.”
Arsenal are in advanced talks with Leandro Trossard over a new four-year contract, sources have told Football Insider. Negotiations are intensifying & all parties are increasingly confident of reaching an agreement. [@SportsPeteO]
@Teamnewsandtix: “It’s pretty much widely accepted within football that if Newcastle DON’T get Champions League, Alexander Isak will go. It’s no secret that everyone at Arsenal would want Isak & will do it if possible, but it would come at the expense of other areas.”
“The allocation of funds is going to be important or sales are going to be needed if Arsenal are going to get top targets in all areas. As of now, the left winger is seen as a position where they could go for a cheaper option to allow funds elsewhere, however, as always, the situation is fluid.”
“I know they have spoken to Nico Williams multiple times this year & I think that’s a deal they will get done, if possible, but again, it would have to be paid upfront & the wages would be substantial.” [Patreon]
Arsenal have ‘submitted their first official offer’ worth €75m for Viktor Gyökeres. Arsenal have already agreed personal terms with the player. [@cmjornal]

Arsenal are exploring a move for a left-back. [@JacobsBen]
Arsenal agree deal to sign Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, here we go!
Zubimendi has now verbally agreed to sign a long term deal… so formal steps must follow soon with Arsenal to trigger €60m clause.
Zubi, ready to become the first signing of the new season.
Gyökeres/Isak, Zubimendi, Williams / inny LS ,bo Rodrygo pewnie kosmos kwota, i Eze, i okienko top ;) do tego bramkarz 2 i w razie odejść na pozycji słabo obsadzonej dodać młody talent:)
Viktor Gyökeres would prioritise a move to join Arsenal over Manchester United this summer, talkSPORT understands. Arsenal are also understood to be frontrunners & are confident of signing Gyökeres when the summer transfer window opens. [@alex_crook]
Alexander Isak is at the top of Mikel Arteta’s wishlist & a move for the player has almost universal backing from those behind the scenes at Arsenal. Well-placed sources have told BBC Sport that Isak would be open to a move to London.
There is an acknowledgment at Arsenal that signing Isak would wipe out the vast majority of their budget & with other positions to strengthen, a deal may be unlikely, but Arsenal have NOT closed the door on a move just yet. [@SamiMokbel_BBC]
The appointment of Andrea Berta has resulted in Viktor Gyökeres’ stock rising, with sources in recent weeks indicating there is considerable internal backing for the move, despite much of the groundwork having been completed on a deal for Benjamin Sesko.
Both players have release clauses, but the indications are their clubs are willing to negotiate lower fees. At this stage, sources suggest Gyökeres is the most economical signing of the two. [@SamiMokbel_BBC]
Mikel Arteta on if he thinks a new attacker is the answer: “I told you many times, I made a very clear statement & the statement continues the same. I want the best team, if we have three goalscorers over 25 [goals], bring them in.”
