I asked Mikel Arteta if Viktor Gyökeres is now the first choice penalty taker at Arsenal:

The contract renewal list Andrea had when he walked in was obscene. When he wraps up Saka and Saliba, he needs to be commended properly for it.

No matter how difficult agents can be, he has a creative solution to counteract it.

Trzeba trzymać kciuki, żeby udźwignął ten nr, bo prawdopodobnie nie osiągnie tyle co Henry, ale jakby tak dzięki jego bramkom udało się wygrać LM, to jak najbardziej numer i jego tradycja podtrzymany:)

Nwaneri podpisał;) Havertz możliwe że będzie rezerwowym, Madueke jest rezerwowym a Gabi może nim zostać, jeśli ściągniemy Rodrygo ;) i nie ziomuś, to nie gra, to ewolucja drużyny, już kiedyś pisałem, że obecnie zawodnicy podstawy, mogą zostać rezerwowymi, niezależnie od zarobków, ale jak chcemy się rozwijać, to to naturalne:) przy sprzyjających warunkach, Rodrygo i Eze mogą dołączyć, czy tak będzie zobaczymy:)

My understanding is that there has been informal dialogue between Arsenal and Crystal Palace for the transfer of Eze very very recently.

The player is clear..Arsenal is my dream choice. His camp feel optimistic as things stand.

Some sources have suggested the release clause is technical and requires it to be paid in a set timeframe (2 years) but these things are so confidential that one cant be entirely sure.

Clubs prefer interested parties approach the selling club directly to discuss these things with honour and dignity to find an agreement as opposed to unsettling a player. Eze loves Palace and will want it all handled properly as it has been. The MGW is a case to be studied in this regard of what not to do.

There is a long way to go for this file to reveal itself properly, its important to follow it step by step but things seem positive as of today. There are some fantastic journalists reporting on it currently. Support them.

Arsenal still have Eberechi Eze high in their thinking, as exclusively revealed.

Some initial talks have now taken place with Crystal Palace, who made it clear Eze's £60m+£8m release clause would need triggering or matching.

#AFC now considering whether to make a bid, and try at a lower number to test that position.

Eze remains keen on a move.
