Bardzo możliwe, że właśnie w tym sezonie to się zmieni, bo z ławki nie ma już przepaści w jakości, a sam Arteta już kilka razy wspomniał, że właśnie rotacja będzie istotna. Czas pokaże czy faktycznie zacznie to robić. Na puchary krajowe nie zdziwi mnie rezerwowa 11, jeśli w miarę nie będzie kontuzji w zespole.

It is well known within football that the CAA Base agency, who represent Eberechi Eze, have a close relationship with Tottenham which has spanned many years.

When Tottenham became aware that Arsenal had jumped in, it is understood that attempts were made to try & draw on that relationship to see if anything could be done, but the agency had to be realistic.

Once Arsenal were in the game, there was only ever going to be one destination. The message was relayed back to Spurs that this was an emotional decision & that there was nothing they could do to alter the outcome. [@MikeKeegan_DM]

Now that the dust has settled, here’s the real story behind Eberechi Eze’s move to Arsenal

Arsenal’s sporting director Andrea Berta first introduced Eze to Mikel Arteta, who was immediately impressed and eager to secure his signing. As exclusively reported in early July, Arteta sought internal references — including from Declan Rice — and every report came back glowing in Eze’s favour.

Meanwhile, Tottenham had also been pursuing Eze. Newly appointed coach Justin Cochrane maintained regular contact with the player’s camp, attempting to persuade him of Spurs’ project. However, Eze’s priority was always Arsenal; he dreamed of playing at the Emirates.

At one stage, Arsenal’s interest appeared to cool, especially after the signing of Noni Madueke. The stance from Arteta was clear all the way through the summer: Eze was wanted, but he would be the final signing of the window and things needed to happen internally for a deal to be done. Spurs, sensing an opportunity, tried to move quickly once James Maddison suffered an injury. Negotiations accelerated, and Eze was open to the move — though he and his representatives knew that if Arsenal re-entered the race, Tottenham would have little chance.

Complicating matters further, Crystal Palace insisted that Eze will play their Europa Conference League playoff before they would sanction any transfer. Over that weekend, reports emerged suggesting Eze would be left out of the league opener against Chelsea. However, manager Oliver Glasner convinced him to feature.

Then, fate intervened. Kai Havertz picked up an injury, prompting Arsenal to reignite their pursuit of Eze. From that moment, the outcome was inevitable. Arsenal made their move — and the rest is history.

Mikel Arteta & Andrea Berta met with Eberechi Eze last month. They told him of their interest & sold him - as if they needed to - on the redemption story they would help him create.

They said that they were well aware of his past with Arsenal & that they hoped to give him the opportunity to create a new ending.

Around that time Tim Lewis contacted Steve Parish & asked to be kept informed of the situation with the player & to let him know if anyone else came calling.

Eze was delighted, but as the weeks passed, that call never came. Arsenal, however, had been quietly kept in the loop throughout.

Indeed, Mail Sport understands that on August 10, Lewis called Parish & asked for an update. As a result of that spirit of co-operation, Arsenal are thought to have made it worthwhile for both Crystal Palace & their player. [@MikeKeegan_DM]

A ja myślę że i Eze i Ode będą mieć sporo asyst;) drużyna zmieni swoją grę pod Gyo, tylko chwile to zajmie i takie podania jak w meczu z mulami, zaczną przechodzić i nasza ofensywa będzie z tego korzystać:) ludzie nadal nie kumają, że zeszły sezon, to nie był nasz styl, my będziemy dążyć do tej najładniejszej piłki za Artety. Jedynie co trzeba wziąć pod uwagę, że taka gra, i strata w fazie przejściowej to większe ryzyko utraty gola, ale obronę mamy w miarę dobra, więc nie będzie tak źle.
