There is now less than a week to go before the January transfer window slams shut. If transfer rumours were pound notes then Arsenal would be the richest club in the world, but there are still no confirmed additions to the Arsenal team. Arsene Wenger has already suggested that most of the business will be done in the last week, so we shouldn’t panic just yet.

Wenger has said that he and his staff are working hard to secure some top quality players, and there are plenty of rumours around suggesting who it might be. A couple of targets seem to have ruled themselves out of a move to the Emirates, whether because they know that a deal will not be done or not is unclear.

Mohamed Diame of West Ham has changed his tune from complaining about the way the club were handling interest to declaring his desire to stay at Upton Park. A similar story has come from Adrian Lopez of Athletico Madrid who said,

“I am happy here and it is my intention to continue here.”

There are still two strikers featuring heavily in the rumours, though, and they are David Villa of Barcelona and Stevan Jovetic of Fiorentina. Either would be a fantastic signing and would give Arsenal fans something to smile about, but the transfer of neither is straightforward.

Some stories have hit the web about Wenger being in advanced talks with Borussia Dortmund for their talented and experienced defender Mats Hummels. Hummels is a world class centre back and would cost at least the Ł17 million being mentioned and would certainly class as a top, top player.

One name that doesn’t ring too many bells is the 21-year old winger Jorginho who plays for Verona. The young Brazilian has also been linked with a move to Arsenal, but it is not wingers we are so desperate for but a strong defensive midfielder.

There have been a number of players linked with Arsenal, but nothing has come of it so far. Diame seems to be out of the picture and M’Vila has joined Rubin Kazan. My gut tells me that Wenger might go for Victor Wanyam from Celtic, but only the Prof really knows. We all hope for some concrete news soon."

Mam nadzieję, że dzisiaj będzie dużo plotek i spekulacji ;), a na dniach AW nas zaskoczy jakimś hitem transferowym :D

Też nie przypuszczałem, że Wojtek jest aż tak wysoki.

Zżera mnie ciekawość jak zakończy się to okienko :) Przez głowę przechodzą mi myśli, że niczym specjalnym - czyli 0 transferów lub jakiś no name. Druga wersja to taka, że naprawdę zaczynamy walczyć o trofea po spłaceniu stadionu. Podpis Theo + jakaś bomba transferowa to będzie właśnie znak, że Arsenal wraca na salony :)

Pamiętaj, że jak będzie jedna kontuzja tak jak teraz Vermy to już nie ma konkurencji w składzie na tę pozycję. Jak mamy zdobywać trofea to kadra musi być szeroka i musi być konkurencja w składzie. Kto ma najlepszą formę danego dnia ten gra i wszyscy się spinają, a nie że nazwisko wystarczy i obojętnie w jakiej jesteś dyspozycji to grasz w pierwszym składzie.

Jacek się podjarał opaską to dobrze :) Mam nadzieję, że za jakiś czas będzie jej pierwszym właścicielem :)
