Arteta: “We can try [early team news]. I will encourage the other managers in the league. So the day before, two days before, if possible, that they tell us who plays. That would be great. Ask that question to them and we get that done. I'll get you a dinner.”

Arteta on signing Ecuadorian duo Edwin and Holger Quintero: “Well, there is certainly something that I think is very positive. I mean, we can recruit the best talent that is out there. Obviously, the rules and the limitations that the league provides in relation to using them before a certain age it is a challenge, but we saw that as a good opportunity for us and we are ahead. I think that's something very positive.

Reporters: “When did you start seeing this as a potential path?

Arteta: “Yeah, there's always been. I think for many years we have talked about that. The last week they were asking me about the multi-club possibilities as well.

“So it's something that is emerging there for many clubs. They've been doing it for years, which is, in my opinion, a big advantage if you do it correctly. And we need to start somewhere. And that's what we did.”

Arteta says Merino playing WITH Havertz, Jesus and Gyokeres is an option: “Yeah and them playing together those two, even with Victor [Gyokeres] it can be with Gabby [Jesus] and that's things that we have prepared during the summer because of the squad that we have and so far we haven't been able to.”

BREAKING: Cristhian Mosquera is set to be OUT for 6-8 weeks.

Arteta on having to bench players after deputising for first choice starters: “Well, we haven't had this situation too many times. I think the problem would be the other one, that you bring somebody in and he doesn't perform.

“And then the decision is so easy not to play him again. And we are not in that position, which is the position that we want to be in, which is exactly that, to have people in contention, whether it's to start the game or to finish the game or to play whenever the team needs his qualities And that's what we have at the moment with every player.”

Arteta on January transfers: “We always have to be prepared. I mean, the moment that we have an option to touch the squad, to improve the squad or to protect the squad, depending on what happens, I think we need to be open for it. And from what is going to happen from here till the window is closed, that's what football is.

“So we don't know, but we're certainly going to be alert and we know where the risk can come in terms of the squad and be ready just in case we have to do something.

Arteta on outgoings:

“Well, at the moment, obviously, we haven't had a situation, as we mentioned before, that players are out of the squad for three or four weeks in a row. So at the moment, we know that the squad we have, we are fulfilling it with the players that are fit. So at the moment, it's very clear that’s it.”

Arteta on if he thinks the product of quality in the Premier League will drop with the amount of time between games: “I don't know. I don't think we have to get to that stage, but the only thing I'd say is, whenever it is possible to help and give the players an extra day or hours to fulfill the maximum potential, let's do it, that's it. We are ready from today for tomorrow's game, that's for sure.”

Arteta on injuries: “Well, let's see (on Declan Rice). I think with all the questions I'm gonna get the answer. Unfortunately, it's going to be the same. We have another training session in the afternoon.

“Every hour is going to be very important to see the availability of the players. So after that, we'll decide who travels.

“That's the one [Mosquera] that is more complicated, but again, we have another test today to see where we are with them earlier on this week.

Yeah, it is a matter of days with those two (Saliba and Trossard) for sure.”

Arteta went onto confirm it is an ankle issue for Mosquera.

Mikel Arteta on Big Gabi's influences: "The fact that you cannot play or train doesn’t mean that you cannot do all the other activities and add value to the team,” said Arteta. “He’s going to be very close to the team.

Arteta: “He can walk, he cannot play. The thing is, he's played a lot of minutes, but as well, when? Now we play Wednesday night, and we have to play Saturday morning as well. We can play minutes, but if they can please give us just a little bit more time to recover and to make the welfare of these players a little bit easier, that would be great.”

Arteta: “Talking about fans and support, I asked them to be here at 7:30; I think they were earlier. So thank you so much to all of them for being with us because we needed that energy today.”

Arteta on Merino: “He was immense again, I think today. The way he scored the goal, super smart. His timing, the way he wins the position and the execution, but after his overall performance, with the ball, without the ball.

“I remember an action that he passed the ball to Martin [Odegaard] in behind Martin doesn't chase it. He makes 40 metres to chase it to the corner flag, goes back, wins the ball back. He's everywhere and he's got that really good momentum at the moment, and he makes the team much better.”

Arteta on injuries: “Yes, obviously it's never good news. Declan [Rice] had to come off. We don't know; we have to see tomorrow what he's got. And Mosquera is the other one that is out.

“Obviously, we have big Gabi [Magalhães] and Willy [Saliba] out as well, so we have to adapt. It's been a team decision. But when I look at the players that haven't been playing much, for example, Ben White, the performance that he had, or Martin [Odegaard] that has been out, and he puts 96 minutes under his belt straight away.

“Noni [Madueke], the same. Victor [Gyokeres] is coming, and now he's getting some minutes as well. So I'm very pleased to see that.”

Arteta: “Rest?, that's quite a positive word to use. We had to make some changes. We had a very, what the game demanded in the tactical and technical aspect of it. We were asked to play three days later, one less recovery than them.

“And they're still performing the way that we've done it against a team that is super well-coached, very well-organised, that they are very clear how they want to generate big chances, and they are really good at doing that so 1-0. We knew it wasn't enough. I don't think we conceded anything apart from the save that we had to make on the corner.

“But the game was always open, and we needed that extra energy to close it and maybe when we didn't have it, we had the courage to take the ball under pressure and to start to break their press through very good movement and purpose with the ball to go and score a second goal and win the game.”

“Do you think Arsenal have the best squad depth in the league?”

Ben White: “I don’t know. Obviously training everyday with all these players is unbelievable. There’s players that don’t get any minutes that would start in any other team!”

Nie miałby obrony, gdyby to byli nasi jedyni obrońcy;)

Zadanie wykonane, choć mecz bez szału, ale są 3 pkt , lecimy dalej , regeneracja i po 3 pkt na Villa Park, łatwo nie będzie, ale to teoretycznie ostatni ciężki wyjazd w tym sezonie, trzeba zdobyć 3 pkt :)

ale dlaczego miałem to wyczytać z jego twarzy;) " wyglądał " może mieć też znaczenie po prostu ogólne, czyli wypowiedź i zachowanie :) polecam oglądać zapisy wideo. A mówiąc kwestia dni, można wstępnie założyć że na Ville możliwe że będzie dostępny, choć wiemy że Arteta lubi nie mówić wszystkiego;)
