Martin Ødegaard & Bukayo Saka were NOT spotted with the Arsenal squad on their pre-match walk this morning.
Przynajmniej z nami ten rzeźnik nie zagra
Romero to jest łeb xD
Mikel Arteta was asked if Martin Odegaard is 'undroppable': "I love him. He's so good and he will continue to be the captain. He continues to be so good."
Max Dowman has stepped up his training programme and is expected to join full first team training real soon.
Saka is targeting the NLD as @sr_collings excellently reported but there is an outside chance he returns sooner depending on recovery.

Arteta on revenge for Sunderland: “Another opportunity to win, to be better than the opposition and then earn the right to win the game.”
Arteta asked if he prefers to be the hunted or the hunter: “At the end, you just have to focus on what you have to do, try to perform every single day and in May, we will start to think what is better.”
Arteta on the chance to go 9 points clear: “The statement is that we do what we have to do, and it's going to be a really tough match. I think they (Sunderland) have been in an incredible run all season, and what they've been doing. So we know the complexity of the match.”
Arteta asked about the Carabao Cup final: “Obviously, it's exciting, it's what we want. You could feel the excitement around our supporters as well, which is great. So, yeah, on to the next one now.”
Arteta on Xhaka: “If he decides to do that, I think he's going to be a great manager. Yeah.”
Arteta on Xhaka’s impact and if he’s surprised that he came back to the Premier League: “The fact that he came back is always a possibility in football, but obviously he spent quite a lot of time away from his family and it was a critical. Part of the decision that he made when he left us about the impact. I know his character, and when you give him that role, he grabs it with a lot of authenticity and in an incredible way and I'm very happy to see what he's doing.”
Arteta was asked when the thought it would be Arsenal’s year: “Before the pre-season started. We started to prepare everything with the intention to be where we are and make sure the players are very convinced that we are going to achieve it and then go day by day. That's it.“
Arteta on Gabriel Heinze: “Right from the beginning, we knew that Gabby was going to bring something very different to the coaching staff and the players and with the aims that we have at the club.
“It's someone that has done it in various countries and obviously, I have a really personal relationship with him, so I knew how he was going to fit in with his character within the team. I'm very happy that the players are enjoying his company.”
Mikel Arteta makes plea to match going Arsenal fans for Sunderland: “Tomorrow, 2:30, the best atmosphere that we've seen. Ready everybody for 3 o'clock to exploit. That's what we want. We start to get in a really, really crucial part of the season and we know what every game means and we need to get into a stadium with that energy, all of us.”
Arteta was asked about the increase in goals from outside of the box this season in the Premier League: “The more density there is inside the box and the more contact there is, the more difficult it is to score goals, especially in open play. So that's clear you have to find other ways.
“I'm not surprised that that number is increasing. The quality of the players as well is increasing. It happened in basketball, especially from 2’s to 3’s, and the stats were incredibly high. It's not that easy here to score because of the distance and the crowd that is around the goal. But, yeah, it's another weapon to have.”
Arteta on Max Dowman: “Max hasn't trained with us yet, so it will be still a few weeks, I think, but it's getting better.”
Arteta on David Raya: “We are where we are, it's because individuals are doing so well and certainly David [Raya] has been immense for us since he joined us.
“This season again, I think he's gone to a different level, very stable, really, really consistent, and it's a key player for us, obviously.”
Arteta on Havertz: “We are really happy to have him. Again, he offers something very different to the team and to be able to mix it up and for him to show the level that he's showing immediately after such a long-term injury is very impressive.”
Team news update from Mikel Arteta:
Jurrien Timber is "fine" and fit for the weekend.
Saka is "getting much better" following his injury from Leeds.
Odegaard could be back tomorrow - his return is "a matter of days".
Confirmed: Sam Barrott has been appointed referee for Arsenal vs. Sunderland on Saturday. Michael Salisbury is on VAR.
Mikel Arteta will speak to the media on Friday afternoon ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Sunderland this weekend. Expecting updates on Bukayo Saka. Catch it all on @HaytersTV.
Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard not involved in Arsenal open training this morning.
But also no Jurrien Timber in training either. #afc
EFL won't budge on availability of Marc Guehi for Carabao Cup final - even if they receive formal letter from #MCFC.
Recognition City have already benefited from rule change implemented before 25/26 season.
Guehi ineligible to face #AFC at Wembley. ⬇

No to finał z City już bankowo
Arsenal are due to assess a possible move for Ayyoub Bouaddi (18) in the coming months. Initial, loose talks have already taken place with his entourage, but there is currently no guarantee those exploratory conversations will develop into something more.
Chelsea are also tracking Bouaddi, but sources close to the player have intimated that it’s likely to be a straight shootout between PSG & Arsenal for the player if both of those clubs decide to formalise their interest. [@RyanTaylorSport]
Declan Rice: “Going into the game today, we knew we had the lead in the tie. We all said it to each other before the game, we’re one game away from Wembley, how much do you want it? We haven’t been there for many years.”
“Today wasn’t just about playing nice football, sometimes it comes down to your heart, desire & how much you want to win a game of football. In the end, over the two ties, I think we deserved it.” [CBS]

Martin Ødegaard: “I was obviously disappointed to miss the Chelsea game, but I felt something during the Leeds game after coming on & Tuesday’s game came just a bit too soon for me.”
“At Leeds, I was really determined to make an impact when I came on. I was pleased with my contribution to help the team get the win & in the end, it was a brilliant result.”
“It was an important response from the whole team after the defeat before & a couple of draws in the league as well. It was a big win on the road & Leeds is never an easy place to go to, everyone did really well.”
