Arteta says Arsenal are looking at Arsenal’s warm up after suffering a rare 4 injuries recently pre-match:

“Yeah, big time. They were very different. The first one was with Willy [Saliba] when he rolled his ankle against Liverpool.

“With Riccy [Calafiori] in the warm-up in a really similar way and the other one was Bukayo [Saka] after he rested on midweek and didn't play against Kairat and then against Leeds.

“It's very unusual, probably happened once or twice I think in six years I've been here, and it happened four times there. We are looking up to it. On the Willy one very difficult to see. Sometimes, as well, you want to try and test the player before to make sure that he's ready and the warm-up is another opportunity to do that.

“Bukayo is very random because he never gave any symptoms or signals away that this could happen in the warm-up. But it is what it is. We have to learn.

“I can feel my body and I'm more aware of it. So in the office and the moment I hear my door and somebody stepping in, I'm like, “NO, PLEASE” because it's a moment that is very tricky, because when you change Riccy for Bukayo, you have to change a lot of things within the game plan.

“Positions, there's a lot of things that are different, and you have two minutes to do that. Yeah, it makes you a better coach because you have to be, what if, what if, and there are more and more what ifs just before the game and then a lot during the game so you just need to be more prepared.”

Arteta on what gives him the belief that Arsenal can go one step further this season: “It gives me the confidence that what we've done up to now every single day and that's the biggest reassurance to do it in every competition.

“The manner we've done it with all the challenges that we faced already, it gives me confidence because it's the way we prepare.

“I don't get the confidence for the things that I imagine. It's for the things that I see every day and the preparation and how much the player want it and we are where we want to be that’s for sure.”

Arteta on Noni Madueke and Bukayo Saka’s relationship.

“This morning we had another one they were in the gym and they were testing and everybody was trying to compete with each other and those two were hilarious as usual.

“It's great to witness because it is natural. It's the way they like each other so much they constantly together and yeah there is certain competition within the places but they take it from an incredible side and then the team gets benefit for that and they get benefit for that as well.”

On their relationship off the pitch having a positive impact on the pitch: “Always does. I mean, and anybody who has played sports or worked with people in their teams and their environments that you are willing to see and do things together in the morning is much better with someone that you don't even want to look at his face…

“So, yeah, it's very pleasant. I think they enjoy their company and I think they make each other better. And obviously, Noni and Bukayo know each other really well.”

On asking Saka about Madueke before signing him: “I did (ask), especially with England boys because they knew him really well, with some people that had known him in the academy as well, because it's very important to understand the trajectory and how players and coaches feel about their experience with him.”

BREAKING: Arsenal announce a price hike (again) in season ticket pricing for the 2026/27 campaign for the men’s 23-match season ticket.

On average, General Admission and Club Level 23-game Season Tickets will be 3.9% higher than the 2025/26 season.

Arsenal also confirm new ticket categories:
B+ which will be used in the Premier League for two * fixtures and A+ which will only potentially be used in the Champions League (pending qualification) for the
Quarter-Final and/or Semi-Final fixtures (opposition-dependent)

The price of our existing match categories, A, B and C, are remaining flat next season.

The club confirm they also reducing the overall cost of Champions League league phase matches (qualification dependent) by bringing one of the four home matches down from a category B to a category C.

Mikel Arteta was asked about how he deals with retraining bravery in players after suffering long-term injuries.

“Really difficult to replicate or something that you don't want to replicate as well. The actual action that you got a player injured and especially the bad long-term injuries that you just described.

“So it is a tricky zone. Sometimes it has to happen naturally. Obviously the more you have players around, the more unexpected things happen and you go through them almost without realising. That's in my opinion the best way.”

Arteta added that Martin Ødegaard is OUT vs. Wolves, but is ‘very hopeful’ he will be available to face Tottenham on Sunday, while Kai Havertz is also a ‘possibility’ for the North London Derby.

Arteta on Calafiori: “He’s fine. He trained with us today. Hopefully he’s fit for tomorrow.”

Havertz is also a "possibility" for the weekend.
