Arsenal are looking into the necessary details before lodging a bid for Bradley Barcola. There is yet a possibility that Arsenal buy both Morgan Rogers & an attacker, such as Barcola. [@MiguelDelaney]

Arsenal are contemplating making an approach to Bournemouth for Alex Scott (22). Bournemouth are understood to value him at £80m. [@alex_crook]

Andrea Berta has done a lot of work on a potential deal for Ayyoub Bouaddi to Arsenal, but it’s also part of his strategy to reach an agreement on personal terms with a number of targets before deciding on proceeding with club-to-club talks, reports @caughtoffside.

For now, Arsenal do NOT yet have a full agreement on personal terms with Bouaddi, even if there’s the sense that initial talks have been positive. Sources with ties to the agents industry say Lille could be looking for around £70m-£80m.

One source: “Arsenal have been pursuing the Bouaddi deal strongly. No agreement on personal terms yet, but Berta & his team are feeling positive. I’d expect Bouaddi to be the TOP target, but work has also been done on Manu Kone, Sandro Tonali & others.”

Morgan Rogers wants to join Arsenal, despite other clubs offering him a better financial package. [@Teamnewsandtix]

@FabrizioRomano: “Alex Scott remains a player on Arsenal’s shortlist. The conversation is ongoing with the agents of the player & also Bournemouth, to understand if there is a possibility [of a deal]. Bournemouth are pushing for the player to stay with a release clause.”

Może to Berta albo Mikel;)

Kury muszą się wzmocnić na walkę o utrzymanie

Arsenal have been in direct contact with multiple midfielders to explore personal terms, as per @HandofArsenal.

Ayyoub Bouaddi
Alex Scott
Manu Kone
Hugo Larsson
Two unnamed players

Arsenal are also monitoring Real Madrid’s midfield situation.

Internally, Newcastle have long considered Arsenal to be the favourites to sign Sandro Tonali & have been expecting a bid since January. There is a suspicion that leaking Tottenham’s desire to pursue Tonali may well be designed to flush out Arsenal. [@LukeEdwardsTele]

Morgan Rogers has given his preference to join Arsenal & has communicated his desire to leave Aston Villa to senior figures at the club. The player is sold on Arsenal’s project, however, the fee will be key to the deal. [@HandofArsenal]

Arsenal have decided to accelerate a deal for Manu Kone & have agreed personal terms with the player through his representatives. Arsenal are now evaluating methods to present an offer to AS Roma, who value Kone at no less than €50m. @Corriere]

BREAKING: Nico Paz has directly informed Real Madrid that he prefers to STAY at Como next season.

Como’s hopes have now INCREASED in the last 12 hours. @FabrizioRomano

Morgan Rogers expects to join Arsenal this summer. ✅[@GoldbergCFC]

Reminder: The fixtures for the 2026/27 Premier League season will be released this Friday, 19 June at 10am. ✅

Marcus Rashford deal at Man Utd includes £40m clause for all clubs bar #MCFC & #LFC. €30m buy option in Barcelona loan expired yesterday. If returns to #MUFC 28yo’s preference is to honour contract (2028) rather than join another PL side @TheAthleticFC

Arsenal have been considering entering the market for a central midfielder, although it is not yet clear how Myles Lewis-Skelly’s emergence in midfield impacts those plans. Mikel Arteta remains a fan of Sandro Tonali, while the club are admirers of Alex Scott. [@gunnerblog]

• Mikel Arteta is set to renew his contract with Arsenal and spearhead the title defence of The English Champions. The club approached our Basque native earlier this year, and it was agreed Mikel wanted to focus on delivering us major silverware & to earn his position within the home of the champions. Total accountability.

My understanding is that Enrique Riquleme explored a secret plot to bring Arteta to Madrid if he had won his presidential election. Mikel is currently on 'holiday', yet actively involved in our transfer operations. While everyone at the club are behaving like it’s a done deal, the club hope to finalise the inner details of the most important contract at the club. Minimum 3 years - the wheels are firmly on. Viva La Mikel.

• Andrea Berta's current contract runs until 2028. As I understand it, senior officials from Saudi explored a possibility of luring the Italian to the Middle East, while Bayern also covertly did the same thing. Andrea promised Mikel last summer he would deliver him a squad worthy of major silverware… mission completed, with the UCL now in their sights.

Another thing I wanted to mention is Micheli Maurizio, the man responsible for scouting Hamšík, Kvaratskhelia, Kim Min-Jae and now Christos Tzolis. While Arsenal aim to add atleast 2 attackers, do not underestimate the authority and respect this man has within the club and wider football. Two weeks ago, I was speaking to the representatives of a player who told me Micheli was the one holding court without the presence of Berta. This duo act are conducting business seamlessly, as you can see with the revamp of the Arsenal youth set up, for which I am told the club have ring fenced a special transfer budget.

• The contract of Declan Rice is also a major focus for Arsenal this summer, with initial talks starting early this year. As I understand it, Declan is very happy at Arsenal despite interest from the likes of Real Madrid and others. Talks are going smoothly and expect this to get done in due course.

• Jurrien Timber's contract is very close to completion. Minor details remain.

• David Raya has a 1 year optional extension on his current contract, which has 2 years left. All parties are very relaxed about his long term future, as a pay rise was agreed last summer.

As for all the rumours circulating, as of today, Arsenal are yet to make direct contact with ANY club for a MIDFIELDER.

I am happy to provide a 'state of play' post on the midfielder situation if that would be helpful?

Saka: “I would say it was an amazing feeling winning the Premier League and then obviously with the Champions League, it was important not to let that loss allow us to forget what we'd achieved as a club.”

Saka on fitness after reports suggested he cannot play 90 minutes: “I don't want to say anything that goes against the manager. What I would say is between Mikel [Arteta] and Arsenal’s medical team and Thomas [Tuchel] and England medical team since March, they've managed me amazingly and helped me get back on the pitch and do what I can for the team.

“I'm feeling better than I felt in the last few months. And, yeah, I'm ready to go.”

Reporter: “Not quite 100% yet, though?

Saka: “I'm ready to go, man.”

@RobDorsettSky: “For Bukayo Saka, this achilles problem he’s been managing, it means he CANNOT start & finish matches right now. We know Declan Rice has been struggling with a back problem, he’s been nursing that with injections.”

Arsenal have opened preliminary talks to sign Ayyoub Bouaddi (18) & hope to complete a deal for £50m plus add-ons, sources have told Football Insider. Lille are holding out for £60m, with Bouaddi keen to move to the Premier League this summer. [@footyinsider247]

@FabrizioRomano:

Liverpool and Arsenal had some meetings with Ayyoub Bouaddi’s agents between January and a few weeks ago.

Both clubs are really interested.

It’s probably going to take around €60m-€70m to strike a deal.

Junior Kroupi update

The reliable @RyanTaylorSport speaking on his Youtube channel expects Junior Kroupi to stay at Bournemouth next season. Doesn't see Arsenal paying the kind of money Bournemouth will want for Kroupi considering other areas the club are looking to add in.

Bouaddi update from @RyanTaylorSport Youtube channel:

• Long-term Arsenal target.
• Berta opened the file in late 2025.
• Good relationship with the player's camp.
• Lille open to a sale for the right price.
• Arsenal have the money to do the deal.

Riccardo Calafiori rejected Real Madrid as he viewed the Spanish giants as a downgrade to Arsenal. Following the rejection, they moved forward quickly for Cucurella.

[@chiddyafc - RELIABLE]

EXCLUSIVE: Real Madrid reach verbal agreement to sign Marc Cucurella from Chelsea, HERE WE GO!

Verbal agreement in place between all parties, player too — he’s the left back wanted by Mourinho. Details to follow.

Cucurella leaves #CFC and joins Madrid after World Cup.

Arsenal have begun talks to sign Ayyoub Bouaddi (18). Lille have valued him at about £60m, while Arsenal face competition from PSG, Chelsea & other big clubs. [@garyjacob]

Arsenal are in direct contact with Club Brugge to sign Christos Tzolis. As I reported earlier, player is very keen but the fee will be key. Data team at Arsenal highly impressed for a while with Greek winger.

Market opportunity which wont affect main target or Monga deal.

Arsenal have been offered Christos Tzolis & are considering accelerating a move for the player. Sources have indicated that Andrea Berta is actively working on the potential deal, with Mikel Arteta believed to be on board with the signing. [@SamiMokbel_BBC]

@SimonJones_DM: “Maxence Lacroix (26) has been discussed by Real Madrid. Arsenal & Manchester United are also among admirers of the player, who is at a stand-off in contract talks at Crystal Palace.”

Bradley Barcola Situation

• Moussa Sissoko has been trying to renew Bradley Barcola’s contract for the best part of 9-12 months. Talks have been difficult, and it reached a point where both parties agreed to put negotiations on hold so that Barcola and PSG could focus on important fixtures in April and May.

• Soon after the UEFA Champions League final, talks resumed and remain ongoing. The player reportedly told people close to him that he was disappointed not to start a number of important fixtures.

• PSG’s position is clear: renew or we will sell, as his contract expires in June 2028. Personally, I think that is a significant stance for the club to take.

• Barcola’s agent also represents Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué and maintains a good relationship with PSG. The club is also in serious talks regarding Yan Diomande and Maghnes Akliouche, which could further influence the situation surrounding Barcola.

Both Arsenal and Liverpool are interested, but I want to explain Arsenal’s side of the story.

• Andrea Berta made serious enquiries into Barcola’s situation last summer. At the time, Arsenal were informed that the player would stay for at least one more year. Since then, Berta has remained in constant contact with Sissoko and has made it clear that Barcola is of serious interest to Arsenal. He has also asked to be notified if PSG become open to a sale. Should Arsenal make an official approach towards PSG, there will be a further update.

• Arsenal also hold an interest in Morgan Rogers and one other player(sensitive info currently). More on that in due course.

• As always, Andrea Berta is willing to agree personal terms with multiple targets and make a move when the timing suits Arsenal.

Before I sign off, there is something worth noting. Berta is very happy for misinformation to circulate publicly. Berta & Co are busy behind the scenes, and many details remain unknown as Arsenal move silently.

Allow me to provide a free exclusive as an example of that which is unknown. Arsenal made standard checks on Nico Paz. Nico was reportedly left confused following a recent call with Mourinho, although another conversation may be scheduled. Arsenal have also made serious checks on Christos Tzolis, the Greek winger.

My point is that a great deal is happening behind the curtain. Embrace the silence and, as always, choose your sources of information carefully.

Arsenal exploring deal to sign Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge. 24yo left-sided winger expected to be gettable for ~€40m. Move for Greece international does not impact #AFC interest in Morgan Rogers or other options to strengthen attack @TheAthleticFC

“Which Premier League club are you expecting to be the busiest this summer?”

@David_Ornstein: “They all have different requirements, but I think Arsenal will do some eye-catching business. I don’t think their volume will be the biggest, but maybe their quality will.”

EXCL Arsenal sack experienced head of medical Dr Zafar Iqbal. Decision comes as surprise to training ground staff.

Jurriën Timber misses the 2026 World Cup.

The 24-year-old defender has not recovered sufficiently from a groin injury to take part in the World Cup in a medically responsible manner. In consultation with the medical staff, it has therefore been decided that Timber will leave the national team’s pre-camp in New York after the game against Uzbekistan.

We’re with you, Jurriën.

Arsenal have had a bid worth around €60m rejected by Lille for Ayyoub Bouaddi (18), according to exclusive information obtained by Africafoot. Lille want at least €70m. [@Africafoot_com]
