Arteta tells @iamAlexHowell Gabriel Jesus is doing well in his recovery: “Very good, so he's doing everything with the team at the moment. For the last almost two weeks, we're going to give him some exposure as well internally with some games, so he gets that fitness, but he looks really good in training, and he's going to be a big addition to the team.”
Arteta on Gabriel Magalhães: “Yeah, Gabriel unfortunately picked up an injury with the Brazilian national team, and he's going to be out for weeks. We need to have another scan. I think it's next Wednesday, and we'll have the timeline probably much more clear than we have at the moment.
“It's clearly a blow because it's our leader in our backline, and to miss him obviously is never a positive thing.
“The good thing, as you mentioned, is that we have very good options, and people have to stand up now and do the job.”
Arteta on the north London derby: “It is different; I mean it's a big city, but it's a big rivalry.
“It's a part of London that we want to conquer; they want to do the same. There's been a lot of shifts as well over the years; we've been more dominant, and it's just beautiful, especially when we play at home.
“In front of our people, we know what it means to them and the energy that they're going to bring, the energy that the team is going to bring in every single action. And it's just a privilege to play those kinds of games, so we cannot wait to get to Sunday.”
Arteta on if he’s worried about Man City catching Arsenal: “No, everybody's gonna try to win every game the same as we are going to do. We just have to go game by game, control the things that we can do, prepare very well tomorrow for Sunday.
“We have a beautiful game ahead of us, and that's what we can control. A big opportunity for whoever you decide to play in place of Gabriel. Yes, for sure, and that's what we're looking for.
“The good thing is that we have rotated and played players in different positions very, very early in the season, and whoever plays is going to be ready to do that.”
Arteta confirms Gabriel will be out for a "few weeks", but full timeline not yet known. Due another scan next week.
Calafiori hasn't trained yet, but there is a session tomorrow.
Hinted some of Gyokeres, Havertz, Jesus, Madueke, Martinelli & Odegaard could return on Sunday.
Arteta on the long-term absentees who are hoping to return soon:
"We have put in a lot of energy to bring them back as quick as possible. Tomorrow we will have more clarity."
He hints that there is a chance that some could be in the squad.
Kolo Muani trained today for Spurs & could play with a mask v Arsenal to protect fractured jaw. Thomas Frank also reveals Pape Sarr & Lucas Bergvall are fit & available. Kudus & Gray (!) trained too. Radu Dragusin is v close to being fit enough to be selected. No Solanke #thfc

Powinna się zaczynać właśnie
Declan Rice on Mikel Arteta: “Don't judge him now, judge him at the end when he's won everything, because he will. I think I'm very lucky to say that I've been able to play under him.
“I think this is a manager who's young in his managerial career still, but I think when it's all said and done, he will go down as one of the best. It's only the start, like I said, so don't judge him now, judge him at the end when he's won everything, because he will for sure. I think he's just incredible tactically.
“Everything that he does, everything he knows on the opposition, the way he sets you up, I go onto a football pitch and the only thing I have to worry about is playing football.
“I know tactically. It's like a remote control in my head, you know, he's built it into me like he's built into every other player. You just know what you're doing every time you go on the pitch, and that's down to him. So yeah, I can't speak highly enough of him.”

Bukayo Saka agrees in principle to extend his contract with Arsenal until 2030. 24yo winger entered final 2yrs of previous deal.
After William Saliba, the Gunners will secure Bukayo Saka
Ile my tam zmian zrobiliśmy jedna?
A od nas do mułów odszedł główny medyk i przeszliśmy sezon praktycznie bez kontuzji 2 lata temu, a oni wysyp kontuzji;) przypadek? ;)

Mikel Arteta says that leading Arsenal into the North London derby against Spurs is one of the true highlights of being manager
Kai Havertz has had a ‘minor relapse’ on his knee injury, but is ‘doing well overall’ & is expected to return to playing ‘towards the end of the year’, Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed.

Dokładnie i jest jeszcze Calafiori
Sources briefed on Gabriel Magalhães’ injury confirmed that further tests are required to discover the full extent of the muscle injury in his right thigh, but initial examinations suggest he will miss one or two months. [@David_Ornstein
The early fears are that Gabriel Magalhães will miss a minimum of four weeks, with sources indicating his absence could stretch to January. The exact severity of the thigh injury & the timescale for recovery will be finalised in the coming days. [@SamiMokbel_BBC]
Arsenal could be without Gabriel until January
The defender picked up a thigh injury on international duty with Brazil
A potential blow for Mikel Arteta’s side…
It is understood that all six players - Kai Havertz, Viktor Gyökeres, Martin Ødegaard, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli & Noni Madueke - are likely to be AVAILABLE by early December. [@IsaanKhan_]
Ben White’s situation is one to monitor. Arsenal would be open to offers, however, as things stand, the expectation is that he remains with further talks on his future next summer. His current contract expires in 2028. [@IsaanKhan_]
It is understood that Arsenal are aiming to get Gabriel Jesus fit enough for some playing time next month. If a sensible offer comes in, they will look to sell the player in January. Otherwise, he is earmarked for a departure next summer. [@IsaanKhan_]
If a significant offer arrives for Gabriel Martinelli, particularly from Saudi Arabia, Arsenal would listen. After spending big last summer, the club are conscious of the need to recoup money from selling a first-team player. [@IsaanKhan_]
Ethan Nwaneri could be considered for a loan move in January. The club are conscious that he needs consistent senior minutes to continue his development & January may offer an opportunity if the right environment becomes available. [@IsaanKhan_]
@veron: Calafiori będzie dostępny
BREAKING: Viktor Gyökeres remains a doubt for the weekend against Tottenham according to @HandofArsenal
This is the first time Michael Oliver has officiated an Arsenal match since the bizarre Myles Lewis-Skelly red card against Wolves in January. I’m not one for a conspiracy theory because I think all of the English referees are useless apart from Sam Barrott.
Oliver’s record whilst in charge of Arsenal is odd. The amount of red cards per foul is way higher than other teams, the made up rules for red cards (MLS vs. Wolves, Martinelli double yellow vs. Wolves, Trossard red vs. City, Kovacic escaping red at the Emirates and the list goes on…).
I spoke to former PGMOL chief @HACKETTREF on the appointment. He said: “A very interesting set of stats and Arsenal players clearly need to be on their best behaviour.
“[Michael] Oliver is one of our top two officials and will be officiating at the upcoming World Cup.
“When faced with a challenging game like this appointment he will raise his performance and maintain his concentration.
“Sometimes in mid-table games he always appears less focussed on his performance.
When you are officiating a big derby game it is important to let the game breathe and try to avoid a quick yellow card that sets the bar low and then goes on to seeing a red in the game.
“Let’s hope that he delivers a game without controversy.”

Arteta on Saka: “What I'm very aware of is that he wants to continue with us, that he's very happy that he's in the place that he wants to continue to be and achieve everything that we want to achieve together. And then when that happens and how it happens, I'll leave that to Andre and the club to figure out.”
